Gandhinagar: In a dramatic and pitiable turn of event, some buffaloes at Chiloda near Gandhinagar accidently drank liquor, fell sick and led to the discovery of 101 illegal bottles hidden inside the water container and under the heap of fodder.
The cops filed complaint of prohibition violation against Dinesh, Amabaram and Ravi Thakor. Chiloda Police station LCB sub-inspector Dilipsinh Baldev's complaint states that 101 bottles of IMFL worth 35,000 were seized from the suspected spot.
The details of the case shows that Dinesh Thakor, the owner of the buffaloes consulted a veterinary from Kunjad village, after the two buffaloes and a calf fell sick. "The animals had stopped eating and started frothing at the mouths, an unusual behavior," the complaint states.
When the buffaloes started jumping next day, the thakor brothers called in another veterinary, who immediately realized the real reason behind the incident, and tipped off the LCB team.
Meanwhile the bovines recovered from the symptoms by Sunday. And PSI of Chiloda police station has started further investigation in the case.
