20-20 for Yogi, 52% say, he will retain power

A survey conducted by IANS-Cvoter reveals that CM Yogi Adityanath will come back to power in Uttar Pradesh.

52% respondents said in yes for Adityanath as against 37% who think that he would lose political ground in upcoming state election in UP.

Adiyanath had taken charge as chief minister after BJP had garnered stupendous 312 seats, not allowing other political opponents like SP and BSP to cross three digit mark in the state election in 2017.

The poll results are interesting as the state election will likely to be held in February next year. The survey further shows that 46% percentage of people have faith in new cabinet for improvement of the current situation, while 41% believe that there will be status-co in the situation.

The poll consisted of 1200 samples with interview method from the adult respondents of all categories.

It must be noted here the positive outcome of the survey for BJP comes at a time when Yogi Adityanath government has been severely criticized for its mishandling of second wave covid-pandemic. The floating of dead bodies in the Ganga river, deaths of number of teachers and other officials during Panchayat election and the apparent loss in the results, all these have put Adityanath and BJP on the backfoot.
