The newest strain Delta variant of Corona virus can spread 225% times faster with the capacity of causing more damage to the world health system as per the reports published by Gungadong Centre for Disease Control and Prevention.
The study shockingly revealed that those who were infected with the delta variant had 1000 times more copies of the virus in their respiratory tracts compared to the original version of Corona virus.
In addition, delta variant takes only four days to become noticeable inside an infected person, faster than the previous period of 6 days in the original strain of Corona virus.
World Health Organization (WHO) has already accepted that the delta variant is more deadly than the alpha variant. WHO also stressed on the importance of vaccination to prevent the spread of delta variant.
India, according to the latest data, has vaccinated 36,48,47,549 people so far. Although this number is huge but the government must also need to speed up the vaccination drive to fend off the danger of third wave especially looking at the serious nature of delta variant.
