The flyover at Income-Tax office was a much awaited and coveted project of AMC. It took a great amount of time and money to build up this mammoth establishment. AMC is believed to have spent rupees 60 crore for this project. Many others too have paid price for it; for example, Gujarat Vidyapith and other passing by shops lost their approximately five foot place as giveway to AMC. The passers by and daily commuters had to go through torment of traffic and noise. All this was still acceptable, for at least there was a hope that the flyover would sort the traffic problem out for good. Unfortunately this hope remained unfulfilled even after almost 5 months of its usage. Now the flyover, instead harbors dirt and garbage under which also inhabit the uniquely unidentified yet universally identified loafers. The flyover certainly not reduces traffic congestion; most of the public transport vehicles like city buses, GSRTC buses, autos prefer the original road because the local stands are still there. This often leads to ear piercing screeches of horns. All the transportation has created a havoc for the local people of the area.
