Second Edition Media Award

Truth is bitter so are the journalists who endeavour sincerely to convey right information for society.  While doing their jobs journalists oftentimes face critique, loss of jobs and even threats to life. It is therefore the responsibility of society to at least acknowledge and appreciate the brave job of journalists.
                                  To honour the impressive works of the journalists, Media Welfare Trust organized the second edition of 'Gujarat Media Award', on October 11, 2019 at Padit DinDayal Upadhyay Auditorium, SG Highway Ahmedabad.  Devendrabhai Patel, Sonalben Pandya, Dhwanit, Shahbuddin Rathod, Jayantibhai Dave, Tusharbhai Sukla, Chandrakant Mehta, Gopinath Gopalan, Parijat Patel were the chief attraction of the program. Following is the list of awardees with the categories of awards.

                           On this pious occasion, Senior journalist and author Devendra Patel said that media   need protection of society and journalism is no glamorous job, it is profession of daring. Journalists   must endeavour to bring back the smile upon the faces which have become the victims of injustice     in society. Jayntibhai Dave, the winner of lifetime achievement award expressed his concerns about   present day journalism which according to him, has become complacent to a significant extent.

 The audience was entertained with jokes by Shahbuddin Rathod; renowned dance choreographer   Kush Banker presented dance on Ganesh Stuti and some bollywood songs.
