Many places in Gujarat witnessed rain today. There were instances of rain in some areas of Kutch. There was a light rain in Dayapar and Lakhpat area of Kutch. Ahmedabad city also received scattering rain.
Earlier, India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted rain the the isolated parts of Kutch, Saurashtra and North Gujarat regions for Thursday, 05 March 2020 and it will recede from the state after Saturday.
The uneventful rain can be a subject of concern for the city. However according to an IMD official, "There will be no large change in minimum temperature over the region during next 24 hours after which it is likely to fall by 2-3 degrees celsius."
Ahmedabad city's temperature was recorded 20 degrees celsius, a little more than stated by IMD forecast.
The next day may witness light moderate rain or thundershower in parts of Saurashtra and Kutch including Devbhoomi Dwarka and Jamnagar but, the days after tomorrow will remain dry as per the forecast of India Meteorological Department (IMD).
