Fingers

Fingers work to help us complete our many activities. Fingers are situated at the front of a hand. They are usually ten in numbers except for some exceptional cases where a person like Bollywood star Hritik Roshan who has eleven fingers. We eat with help of our fingers. Children love to lick their fingers when they are presented with delicious food. We hold things with fingers. Gym goers exercise to strengthen their wrists and fingers. Women fingers are considered delicate to men's fingers in some culture. Particularly in India women apply a Mehndi and draw appealing designs on joyous occasions like marriage. 

History of fingers, however has not been always good. In earlier days of kingly rules, culprits were punished with their fingers cut for some selected crimes. It is said that Mughal Sultan Shahjaha had the fingers cut of construction workers of the great Taj Mahal.
