By carefully examining tribal-related content on the
websites of Indian English dailies, this research work aims to investigate the
function of English Dailies Websites in the promotion of messages of tribal
empowerment and development. For this purpose, the researcher will study
tribal-related content of five websites on English dailies for one year, from
January 1st to December 31st, 2022. All the date-wise content will be
classified and categorized in a tabular form with the help of an Excel sheet.
There will be five chapters in this thesis overall.
The introduction will be the first chapter in which a brief history of tribal
society and the press of India will be given. The researcher will attempt to
compile a brief history of the development of Indian news websites. It will
trace the development of the five English-language daily websites The Hindu,
The Indian Express, The Times of India, The Telegraph, and Hindustan Times. For
this purpose, the researcher will use online sources and books from libraries.
Review of the literature will be the second chapter.
It will aim to study and summarize other research studies on tribal and online
platforms. Inflibnet Shodhganga will be the major source for studying the
theses for previous works done in this field. The researcher will visit the
libraries of various universities.
The third chapter will be titled "Research
Methodology." This chapter will provide a thorough explanation of the
content analysis method. The fourth chapter will analyse the information gathered
in order to draw conclusions. The research questions will be compared to the
findings from the data analysis.
The editors and other related persons will be
interviewed by semi-structured questionnaires.
